- If you are a senior or a caregiver.
Guide to home care and home services
This guide is specifically designed to help you live in the comfort of your home for as long as possible by providing information on how to obtain access to home care and home services for you or a loved one. It was written by a social worker and will help you find your way around public providers and community organizations.

Information flyers:

Visit the MCDC Community Library at 506, Alfred Street, Thetford Mines, to have access to a display cabinet filled with a variety of information flyers on issues such as:

Degenerative conditions such as Alzheimer and Parkinson
Diabetes
Glaucoma and other related eye ailments
Cancer
Heart health
Bone health and arthritis
Others

The library is open on Mondays from 9:00 to11:00 a.m. and on Wednesdays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. You can also call MCDC to inquire about flyers and information booklets not available at the library. We will be happy to help in finding the required information in English.

Telehealth Conferences:

Talk to a specialist and get to ask the questions that really matter to you. As part of a group, attend a conference on a variety of health related issues via teleconferencing. Subjects vary from diabetes, cancer, grieving, depression and mental illnesses and others. For more information, contact MCDC.
