The Megantic English-speaking Community Development Corporation (MCDC) was born of a vision: to bring our community together and make it vibrant and thriving again. This vision is becoming reality: working together is working!

The mission of the MCDC is to provide health and community services and organize social and cultural activities in English for all age groups.

INTRODUCING CHRISTIAN LAPOINTE!

We are pleased to introduce you to Christian Lapointe who will be joining our MCDC team on August 30, 2010 as our new Supervisor – Community Health Services. Chris will be replacing Lyne Bergeron who has recently moved to the Beauce region with her family.

Prior to his employment with MCDC, Chris spent 24 years serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. He is a retired Master Warrant Officer and physician’s assistant. In his new responsibilities with MCDC, Christian will continue in Lyne’s footsteps in organizing information sessions, distributing printed material, providing support to community members and maintaining mutually beneficial partnerships with local and regional health institutions so that access to services in English continues to be improved upon.

We are very excited to have Chris Lapointe on our team and have no doubt that the community will join us in extending him a very warm welcome.
