    Gouvernement de Québec French courses

    The Gouvernement du Québec offers French courses.  Financial assistance is available for these courses, under certain conditions. 

    Find out more about more about French courses offered by the Government here.  You will be asked to select your status: Immigrant or Person born in Canada.  

    There are different courses offered:

    • Full time
    • Part time
    • Online
    • Specialized courses by field of employment

    French classes by Verbatum in Lévis

    Verbatum offers French group classes for companies that want to facilitate the integration of their immigrant workforce in the workplace, as well as private classes for employers who want to facilitate the integration of an employee of foreign origin or for immigrants who want to improve their French in order to adapt more easily to their new environment.  Their classes are offered virtually or by phone.  To find out more, click here.

    CLIC offers 2 programs for learning French: French as a second language, and Francisation.  They are based in Charny in Lévis.  To find out more, click here.

    YES Employment + Entrepreneurship offer a French for the Workforce program.

    What can you expect?

    • Mock interviews - practice answering the “tell me about yourself” question with ease
    • CV writing and comprehension exercises
    • Grammar and verb conjugations
    • Group discussions and more!

     

    If you have knowledge of basic French vocabulary, can form simple sentences, and understand some spoken French, then this program is for you!  It is not designed for individuals with little or no previous French language abilities as classes are interactive and conducted only in French.

    The program is $75 and held twice a week on Wednesdays & Fridays, 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM, over five weeks.  This program will be held online over Zoom.
